Six districts -Kallakurichi, Karur, Madurai, Nagapattinam, Perambalur and Tirupattur - reported zero new cases. The highest number of cases were reported from Chennai (57) followed by Chengalpet (21), Coimbatore (115), Kanyakumari (13), Tiruvallur (12), Krishnagiri (11) and ten each in Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli.
